Our Story

Emmanuel Clerical Wear was established in 2016 by Revd. Barbara Schormann, an Anglican priest. The only clerical shirts available at the time of her ordination were made in the standard masculine design and limited to a few colours. Therefore, the aim of her business was to focus on creating feminine designs for clergy women, which would still comply with the regulations required for clerical shirts. There was still a great demand for shirts for clergymen using different fabrics and trims, and so the business continues to produce custom made clerical shirts for both genders.

Our aim is to continue expanding our line of women’s clergy wear to include dresses and a wider range of smart and casual clerical blouses.
